It's Showtime Folks!

I may have been quiet online lately, but that doesn't mean the art has stopped. This weekend and next weekend are the two biggest weekends on Delaware's art show calendar. The Rehoboth Art League is a quiet escape in the nation's summer capital. Under the pines and away from the beach crowds this juried show not only features many of Delaware's most well known artists, but embraces you with 3.5 acres of ample natural beauty.

Tent Location: Booth #3 - This is a new spot for me and it's in front of the historic Homestead.

I know, I know. It's been too long. I haven't dropped off of the face of the Earth, I've just been busy with non-art (read, not cool) work and it's been hard to carve out the necessary time. That means for  twenty minutes here or a thirty minutes there I've been scratching my visual art-creation itch through sketching. Below are a few of the pieces from my sketchbook.

Walking

Fences

To be what no one ever was,
To be what everyone has been:
Freedom is the mean of those
Extremes that fence all effort in.

My house in relation to Superstorm Sandy's path
We made it through Sandy this week without an issue even though the house was nearly under it's direct path. Others, especially along the coast, weren't quite so lucky. I know you've been hearing this from a number of people, but consider donating to the Red Cross if you are able. If you've ever been to Atlantic City you know that many of the people that live there are not living in expensive beach homes and will need help in the coming weeks and months.
